Yingluck Shinawatra first female Prime Minister in Thailand | biography, pretty and smart


Yingluck Shinawatra, sister of Thaksin Sinawatra, who become first female prime minister in Thailand. Her party won a majority of seats in parliament in a national election. Official vote count has not been completed, but with more than 90 percent of the votes have been counted on Sunday night, the party Yingluck, Pheu Thai, has won 262 seats in the 500 seats in the country's parliament.

"The first thing I want to do is help the economic situation of the people," she said Sunday morning. She declined to declare victory until the official count ended. Moments earlier, Prime Minister of Thailand, Abhisit Vejjajiva, acknowledges that Yingluck had won.

Yingluck is the younger sister of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who was ousted in a military coup in 2006. Thaksin until now is a divisive figure who the citizens and Thai politics. In 2008 Thaksin to leave Thailand after he was convicted on corruption charges. The allegations continue to deny to this day.

Critics of Mr Thaksin's sister Yingluck worry it will only make her sister's orders. However Yingluck has negated that possibility.

However, even before Yingluck gave a victory speech, his brother have submitted comments from exile in Dubai. "Well, I'll tell them that I really want to go back, but I'll wait for the moment and and the right situation," Thaksin told reporters. Pheu Thai party stays behind Thaksin and want him back.

The "yellow shirts", a group formed to oust Thaksin from power, will do whatever they can do to stop Thaksin's return.
